WWEHD? (What Would Ernest Hemingway Do?)

I have a bizarre, love-hate relationship with Yelp. I use it a lot and appreciate the service it offers, but I find it completely ridiculous that hard to please people with psychosomatic food allergies can take to their laptops and pen an over the top review about their bad experience at their local diner, when they probably ordered something dumb like seafood and failed to understand why they felt so let down. When I explain this to my friends they usually laugh at me (often because me “explaining” my irritation is actually just me going off on a tirade), but I felt validated when I came across this post on McSweeney’s, which reimagines your run of the mill Yelp review through the voice of famed literary urmudgeon Ernest Hemingway. I can’t be certain, but I feel like Ernest Hemingway would have thought people on Yelp were annoying too. Check out the link to “Ernest Hemingway, Yelper.”
