Introducing Pubslush’s Summer Interns!

We’re so excited to welcome our summer 2012 interns! These girls are hard at work promoting our authors, organizing events, helping to debut our first issue of The Pubscriber, and creating a brand new College Campus Ambassador Program. We have amazing things going on here this summer, so look out for what’s coming next!

Meet these wonderful women:

 Genny Little; Manhattan, NY

Position: Community Engagement

School: Eugene Lang College at The New School, Literary Studies Major

Summer Reading: I am currently reading Patti Smith’s Just Kids.

Fun Fact: I have a dog named Edgar Allan Poe.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: I’m most excited about spending the whole summer in the city! Even though I’ve lived here my whole life, I usually go away for the summer and don’t get to enjoy New York.

Cassandra Zouzias; Cold Spring, NY

Position: Community Engagement

School: Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA

Summer Reading: I just finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. It was phenomenal.

Fun Fact: I ruptured my spleen when I was 13 years old.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: I am looking forward to spending some time of the beach at the end of the summer. And I’m very excited about my internship with Pubslush, of course!

Julia Hansen; Cambridge, MA

Position: PR/Events

School: Dickinson College, English Major

Summer Reading: Right now I’m reading High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, Look at Me by Jennifer Egan, and Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris (probably the third time I’ve read it!).

Fun Fact: I cannot fall asleep without socks on.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: To be living in New York City!

Caroline Bales; Locust Valley, NY

Position: PR/Events

School: University of Southern California, Public Relations Major, Marketing Minor

Fun Fact: I love sailing and hope to go out on the water a lot this summer!

Summer Reading: This summer I’m reading J.D. Salinger’s short stories, Slaughterhouse Five Kurt Vonnegut and Once Upon a Secret by Mimi Alford.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: I am most excited about possibly going to Paris this summer!

 Sara Mendelson; Memphis, TN

Position: Social Media

School: Wesleyan University, American Studies Major

Summer Reading: I’m finishing up Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, and getting ready to start Wally Lamb’s I Know This Much Is True.

Fun Fact: I could eat strawberries for every meal.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: Beaches, Bands, and Books!

Raina Kennedy; Cheltenham, PA

Position: Social Media

School: Middlebury College, International Studies/Anthropology Major

Summer Reading: I am currently reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I just finished 50 Shades of Grey, but I would not recommend it to anyone, and I only read it because people won’t stop talking about it.

Fun Fact: I am left-handed.

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: This summer I am most excited about having free time to do things like read books or learn a new skill.

 Aarti Patel; New York, NY

Position: Web Design

School: NYU-Poly, Computer Science Major

Summer Reading: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

Fun Fact: I’m a DIY enthusiast!

What I’m Most Excited About This Summer: Gaining new experiences and having free time!
